The Waterworks Lamson Litespeed Micra 5 is the 5th generation of Litespeed fly fishing reels and has a unique structure with a large diameter, increased strength and an incredibly light weight with a Micralox coating for ultimate corrosion resistance. This range of fly reels are all built from machined 6061 aluminium and stainless steel for enhanced durability and strength. The drag housing is integrated into the frame so the housing becomes a structural member of the reel construction and increases stiffness and strength. The threaded overlaps and machined holes throughout help reduce the weight and the integrated housing is much slimmer and the frame/drag unit is much lighter. The slimmer drag can also support a narrower spool which helps further reduce the weight. The Litespeed fly reel is designed with a large arbor construction for a higher retrieve rate and to give you increased backing capacity. It also has enhanced 3D milling for better material distribution and an improved ergonomic drag knob for better grip. This reel also features a new coating called Micralox for maximum protection and the ultimate in corrosion resistance. The spool is easily removed by holding the frame and gently pushing the spool with your two thumbs outwards to release the spool.
