Major changes are coming to 2023 races:
- No more burpees for Elite and Age group
- The nightmare is over, now the penalty will be a 200m loop, reduced to 100m in case of elevation gain (more than 25m) or including carry.
- A new race format at all Spartan Series and championship.
- 3k course (3 loops of 1000m) with 10 to 12 obstacles on each loop.
- 3 new obstacles:
- Over Unders
- Zig Zag Wall
- Laser Pistol
- New trophy: OCR Triple Crown
